Go Further

When it’s time for a brand to show the proof of transformation, unveil the long-term strategy and ensure the moment is their’s - it’s time to go big. The ‘Go Further’ series of event experiences were Ford setting their future stall out for media, dealers, employees, fleets customers and investors. And they left nothing at the door.

Thousands of guests inside a former assembly line hall in Germany with the longest LED screens in Europe, 24 camera package live streaming worldwide, 50 vehicle moves, dozens of films and content pieces, two hosts, special guests, a robot DJ and a partridge in a pear tree. This was all about scale of impact.

It always starts with a blank sheet of paper… In this case writing the narrative structure of the 75 minute show from every facet - stage, vehicles, lighting, sound, content, links, PTCs, stream vs in-room experience etc..

Ensuring there wasn’t a bad seat in the house with a space of this scale was challenging. It was tackled in two ways, firstly distributing the action moments in the show across multiple stages and with a central catwalk through the middle of the audience. Secondly with innovative Picture in Picture relay from camera onto the screens the length of the hall.

Go Further saw the reveal of the next-generation Fiesta lineup - the best selling small car at the time. The exterior car work was shot at a variety of locations in Croatia, each selected to highlight and complement the trim level of the car. Directed by Matt Hopkins.

It wasn’t only car films I worked on, but people and culture films too. Directed by Diana Ellis-Hill.
